The Into Design Systems Hackathon 2026 brings together 150+ design systems professionals from 50+ countries to build AI-powered design system tools, Figma plugins, design system kits, and innovative solutions.
This free online hackathon features expert mentors from Figma, hands-on learning with Figma Make and Cursor AI, and amazing prizes including conference presentations and exclusive workshops.
Perfect for design system designers, design system engineers, and design system architects looking to build the next generation of design tools.
What Makes This Hackathon Different

While some are hacking on one side of the world, others are sleeping on the other. Then they swap. They can only win together.

We're organizing this hackathon for the second time and it's still unreal to watch. People who didn't know each other 48 hours ago suddenly give everything to win as a team.

What You'll Build
Create design system tools, Figma plugins, design system kits, design token generators, component libraries, or any creative experiments that improve how we build or manage design systems.
You can code, prototype, or "vibe code" entire projects using AI design tools like Cursor and Figma Make.
Build design system automation tools, design system documentation generators, accessibility checkers, or design system governance platforms.
No coding skills required - design systems experience is what matters. Join the hackathon to start building.
